Biography of the Artist
Ginger Lovellette is a contemporary artist whose passion for life and art are vividly seen in her colorful artworks. Expressive in images, appealing to the viewer to look deeper, to contemplate the possible meanings, drawing the viewer into seeing art from her usual loose, free painting style.
Studying and learning from the Old Masters, Ginger is a self-taught artist working in a variety of mediums including enamels and acrylics. Following college, she took her artwork to a higher level by dedicating her professionalism to her painting. Today she lives and works in Henderson County, KY.
Ginger's inspiration comes from the joy of life, the movement of clouds, the surrealism of realism, the twist of nature, echoes of the mind, the desperate desire of creating, fragments of color and the anticipation of being known for her art long after she's gone.
Many parts of life, Ginger feels, are closely related to the creative side of our nature. "The joy of sensual fulfillment and creative expression provides an avenue for coping with life's difficulties and sharing our thoughts and visual concepts and images with others."
Ginger is represented on a continued basis by the Christian Art Center and the PAPA Gallery, both in Paducah, KY and also by the MissionaryArts.com site online. She also is a member of ArtWanted.com at www.ArtWanted.com and has enjoyed placing in the Top Ten Club at that site several times.
Paintings by Ginger can be viewed in corporate offices, private collections and various galleries throughout the USA. She has worked with children in the art field and has judged small group shows. There's nothing more exhilerating than holding a brush in one's hand and standing before a blank canvas. The anticipation of the end result is so exciting and inspiring! I believe that all of us have artistic capabilities but the difference is in the fact that some of us have a more defined "desire" to express our talents. I hold a great degree of this desire to create and throughout the years, it's been fine-tuned to the point depicted in the images on this site.
